Upcycled vintage lamp — Art Deco ceramic sphere base and linen lampshade

A round base, entirely covered in a hand-engraved feather or scale pattern, in shades of green. This incised decor (sgraffito) technique, where the pattern is carved into the glaze before firing, is emblematic of Art Deco ceramics from the 1920s-1930s: stylized geometric patterns inspired by nature—feathers, scales, foliage—were highly prized in French and Belgian decorative ceramics at the time.

At the HAUTLALAMPE studio, this vintage ceramic base has been fully restored and topped with a new natural linen lampshade, featuring a simple finish accented with a khaki green soutache trim that echoes the hues of the base. This marriage between an antique piece with strong graphic decor and a sleek contemporary lampshade offers a lamp that is both timeless and full of character.

It finds its place on a side table, a console, or a bedside table, where it becomes a true collector's item in its own right.
