Upcycled vintage lamp — antique bronze candlestick base and graphic floral pattern

An authentic gilt bronze candlestick, featuring a baluster shaft adorned with foliate and rocaille motifs, resting on a molded base: this slender silhouette evokes the rocaille style cherished in the 18th century, rendered here in a craftsmanship that is especially reminiscent of the reissues and Louis XV-style pieces widely popular during the 19th century, particularly under the Second Empire (Napoleon III period, circa 1850-1880), when bourgeois interiors favored reintroducing this antique ornamental vocabulary.

At the HAUTLALAMPE studio, we have kept this candlestick and its faux candle to preserve its original appearance. It is topped with a hand-sewn lampshade in a graphic floral print in coral pink, mustard, and dark green, accented by an ochre ribbon that echoes the patina of the bronze.

The result: a hybrid piece, between classic heritage and contemporary pattern, perfect for adding character to a pedestal table, a desk, or a console.
